Ministry Follow-Up is used by churches to coordinate care for their members. Only staff members and approved care team volunteers at a church using Ministry Follow-Up receive text messages, and only after they enroll themselves. Members of a congregation are never texted by this program.
Care assignment alerts, follow-up reminders, and related status notifications. A message may include a secure link for reviewing an assignment and submitting a report. The program carries no advertising, no fundraising, and no marketing of any kind.
Enrollment is voluntary and is never a condition of anything. A volunteer may enroll in either of two ways, and in both cases consent is given by that person for themselves:
The enrollment page states that texts are optional before the form begins, and uses a single button that submits whether or not the consent box is ticked. The box is unchecked by default, and the mobile-number field appears only after somebody voluntarily selects SMS. Declining texts does not affect anyone’s ability to serve on a care team, to use Ministry Follow-Up, to purchase anything, or to receive care.
Message frequency varies with assigned care activity. Message and data rates may apply under your wireless plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help.
Almost every church on Ministry Follow-Up sends from one shared number, and replying STOP to it stops messages from the platform rather than from a single church. A church that brings its own number is separate: STOP there stops that church’s messages only. The number a message came from is the number that stops.
